Turns out I'm wearing pink again today.
Got a 100% approval rating from the dentist this morning, so the day was off to a good start. A 41 degrees Fahrenheit start, and I went with a wet head and no coat to the dentist. The frost on the rooftops reminded me that we want to insulate the attic this fall, before we spend millions heating the house that has no insulation.
There's very little talk or movement on my floor at work today - I may need to put on my coat and go for a walk, just to keep myself out of trouble.

Life in Plastic, It's Fantastic!
Looks like it's been a little while since I posted about my Type 1 antics. But don't worry, they're still going on :).
I am wearing a new rather permanent accessory - my wedding ring!
I should get you a closeup so you can see the awesome height that you get with it (from the side).
Other than that, it was pink day. I am wearing this great skirt from Hillard and Hanson (one of my favorite department store brands) that I picked up at the thrift store the last time we had a date night to the thrift store (September, maybe). It's a bit of a light pink, but I love the seaming that goes across the hips. It's a touch longer than I typically go for, but fits beautifully.
Type 1 as a married person: So, I married the love of my life, and he happens to be a 2/4 in energy type. So, to put it lightly, we are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum. I'm all over the place, and he's...more sedate. It's not to say that we are incompatible, but it gives us an opportunity to honor each others' strengths, not compare one's weakness to another's strength, and to honor and cherish each other. I'll tell you more about this later, but I am so honored to have such a gentle and kind husband. :) Cheesy, I know!

Girls Talk About Their Social Lives
Am I the only one that gets thoroughly bored with what I pack when I travel? I realize in the last 4 years or so, I'm likely to go clothes shopping when I'm traveling anyway, but now it's almost necessary. Got to have me some variety, and where better to find it than another city??
Last night I hit the H&M while here in Washington DC, partly to see the town, and partly because I couldn't stand to wear the same button-up shirts I had packed for another day. Thankfully, I found a few cute tops, and some new jewelry pieces. It's amazing to me how much variety I benefit from in my wardrobe (and I still try to keep it under control!)
I also got a new pair of flip flops before the trip. Last week or so, I was walking in my previous pair of Sanuk flip flops and tripped over something and the rope just ripped right out of the rubber footbed. Those had to be trashed... So, I went to return a shirt to Dillards, and look what came home with me? These leather Clark's sandals, on summer sale!
I also love H&Ms signature colors this season - orange is heavy in there! It's not often that orange is extremely popular, or that it gets a lot of wear. Thankfully, I love orange and was pleased to see it in this combination of beaded necklaces (which are stretchy and very comfortable!) Dark brown, green, and two colors of orange.
Cheers to summer!

In every condition in sickness in health
Whoa.
I've been having some mega conversations with one of my BFFs about being a Type 1. She's a 1/4, which has caused some confusion in her life. Overall, I think she's loving the journey. I'm so happy for her, and happy I finally opened my mouth and explained it to her.
I'm glad I wore this skirt today, since I love it. And the necklace I chose - a little substantial to keep me moving swiftly today. There's a lot changing in my life right now, and I wanted to be sure I could keep up :). Also, no boots today. That's been a while too!
The sun is shining, and it's a great day to be alive!
Type1ism of the day: That cheesy smile! I seem to always look like that in pictures :) Here's to April starting tomorrow. Cheers!
